Trip ExpensesOur first 10 days were spent in Cambodia and the rest of the month was spent traveling through Vietnam from the South to the North.  We took 2 flights this month, both in Vietnam.  One flight was from DaLat to DaNang and one from DaNang to Hanoi.  We took several buses in both Cambodia and Vietnam.  We had motorbike rentals in Kampot, Cambodia and Mui Ne, Vietnam. Once a high school and later known as the S-21 prison where the Khmer Rouge held thousands of prisoners and killed many others during the years of their regime (1975-1979), is now known as the Tuol Sleng Museum of Genocide.  This museum sits in the middle of Phnom Penh, Cambodia where over 14,000 people entered and only seven were found alive when it was discovered.  Prisoners here were tortured, interrogated and killed.   Many were shipped off to the killing fields outside of town to meet their fate, but this was only one location out of hundreds that were in use throughout the country.  Some of the photos that you are about to see are disturbing and should probably not be viewed by young children. These are however facts of life and prove that there are evil people all over who take on different shapes and sizes.   Continue Reading
