Simone’s First Impression:
WOW there are a lot of people here! What a change from the empty roads of Scotland. As soon as we crossed the border on the motorway there were cars everywhere and really fast drivers. It almost feels as though we are back in the US. It was so busy that we were not able to find a place to stay in the first town we tried. Luckily we found an amazing B&B just outside of Chester. It was a little out of our budget but the room was the largest we have stayed in the whole trip and the home cooked breakfast was amazing. So far I am pretty unsure about this place. There are so many people and everyone seems to be in quite a rush.
Jason’s First Impression:
When you travel for an extended period of time, people say that it’s hard to re-integrate into your old life. Maybe England is trying to help me prepare for going home to the ridiculously crowded freeways of the Bay Area. As soon as we crossed the border from the relaxing roads of Scotland, it was like we had just driven through a time warp. Fast aggressive drivers on a four lane motorway and people crowding the streets with hard to find parking in the towns we pulled into trying to find a place to stay. So far England is not impressing me much.
