  1. Norway is somewhere I would love to visit but I am incredibly itimidated by the prices (especially after being in Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Finland and hearing that Norway is even worse!) I’m interested to read of your impressions during your trip!

  2. I went to Norway back in March and the prices shocked me too. It’s true that it is expensive, and I really couldn’t find many cheaper options. I actually packed food, because I couldn’t face paying $30 for a burger like you mentioned!

That being said, it is a gorgeous country and I’m so envious you have 20 nights to explore it.

  3. It sounds like this is going to be a very different trip for you guys on a cruise, although not for everyone, in this instance it has allowed you the chance to experience Norway. Can’t wait to see your pics around the fjords. We did this recently in New Zealand and it was simply breathtaking.

  4. Every year I say that I’d like to go to Scandinavia, and every year we decide that it’s just too expensive. Such a shame! Still, I’m looking forward to hearing more about your trip and enjoying more pictures too.

    • Yeah, it’s pretty bad Bianca, but there are ways around it. You could probably hire a car or campervan in one of the neighboring countries and buy food to take with you. That’s what a couple Jason met while hiking was doing.

  5. If you’re in North America, and wish to see Norway-like environments, I highly recommend flying to Newfoundland, Canada, and going to Gros Morne National Park – the similarity is striking, fiords and all.
