  1. I love signs like these…they always seem to make your day when you are traveling! We’ve noticed that a few travelers these days are offering to translate a guesthouse or small restaurant’s menus, etc for a free meal or a free night stay. Thanks for sharing!

  2. These are great. I’ve got a small collection of my own too. It’s a little mind boggling actually that these translations are so bad. I simply can’t imagine that the shortage of adequate translators is so great that they can’t do better than this.

    • Yeah, and these are only a few. We saw so many and thought about sharing them after the fact. We completely agree with you on the point that someone could translate these a little better.

  3. I love it how they at least make an effort, but yes, they do turn out pretty funny. I’ve seen squat toilets all over Asia (well, those 4 countries I’ve been to) and they still make me pretty uncomfortable, esp. at airports or other modern places. Somehow, squatting in a dirty place makes more sense 😉
