We enjoyed our cooking classes in North and South Thailand so much that we decided to try our hand at a Cambodian cooking class while in Siem Reap.  We booked our class through Beyond Unique Escapes and were picked up by Tuk Tuk around 9:30am from our hotel.  After driving just outside of town through some pretty dusty roads we arrived at an oasis of a hotel tucked outside of the city.  Continue Reading

We enjoyed our cooking class in Ko Lanta so much that we decided to try a northern Thai cooking class while in Chiang Mai.  We were picked up at our guesthouse by Siam Rice Cooking School and started off the day at a local market.  Our instructor showed us some of the local ingredients and then we had some time to wonder around the open air market before continuing on to the cooking school. Time for Lime Cooking School

One of the must do things for us in Thailand was to take a cooking class.  We both love Thai food and were interested in knowing what all of the wonderful spices and veggies were that they used in their dishes.  After reading a few blogs we decided to head to a course on Ko Lanta at Time for Lime.  This cooking school was started nearly 10 years ago and the proceeds support an animal shelter opened by the owner.  They are also very vegetarian friendly and make substitutions for everything on the menu.
